I had my work shower yesterday!!!

So my chairperson asked me on Monday if I could stay on Friday to help compile some review sheets for Regents review (I teach high school).
I've worked there for 9 years and we have NEVER done this, especially on a Friday so I said, ummmm, ok. I've also been to DOZENS of other teachers showers so I figured... hmmm?. I'm also impossible to surprise. Good thing I was tipped off to it because I had a hair appointment and could reschedule it.

Several of my co-workers did a wonderful job. I don't have pics because someone else was taking them. They decorated the faculty room, had great munchies, and a delicious cake.

A new teacher, Michelle, bought a laundry basket and filled it with a ton of little stuff for the kitchen/bathroom... toilet paper, paper towels, salt and pepper, cleaning gloves, Dawn dish detergent, Barilla pasta, candles, can opener, small box of garbage bags. She then wrapped it beautifully. That was a great idea.

They also presented me with a card and a generous $$$ gift they collected from the faculty.

They did such a great job! I'll post pics when I get them .

That is so awesome Theresa! I had mine yesterday too- so funny- I know you will understand after going to so many over the years at our school and wondering if you would ever be the one-didn't it just completely make you realize-OH MY GOD- I am now the bride! It was really weird for me.

What a cool surprise!
