pay for bridesmaids?

Are you suppose to pay for your girls to get their hair and makeup done or do they pay their own way??

I paid for hair because I wanted them all to have an up do. I did not pay for make up so 2 girls did their own and SIL had hers done.

i did not pay for hair or makeup for my girls. the girls did their own makeup and most got it done but paid for it themselves. (i just told them i'd like their hair away from their face).

I didn't. It didn't matter to me. Also, I'd spent a lot more than planned on their gifts so the money wasn't really there.

im planning to go all together to a salon to get our hair done- i hope that they will pay for that since i will pay for the makeup artist to come to the house for everyone

It's not necessary, but it's a nice thing to do. I am paying for their makeup, not hair.

I've been a bridesmaid a bunch of times and I've always paid for myself. It would be nice of you, but it isn't necessary.

My hair and make up person is a good friend of mine. She offered to be at my service for my entire wedding day. If enough of my BP and/or family needs hair and make up services, she will bring another person who works in the shop with her.

I know people are very particular about who does their hair and make up. I only trust the person I work with now and would certainly understand if someone in my BP wanted to use their own stylist. But I am not going to tell them to give me the bill for it should they decide that's what they want to do. My BP can wear their hair any way they want. I don't want them looking like robots - they should be comfortable. If they want to use who I am offering, then great. She offered hair and make-up trials for them as well.

It's not necessary but it's a nice gesture. I haven't even thought about all of that yet !

I have been in 3 weddings and have never had my hair or makeup paid for and I am not planning on paying for my BM to get theirs done either....with the exception of my FSIL because she is not working but other than than not planning on it

Its up to you. I told my girls I would pay for one or the other
Hair was more expensive so I paid for that instead of makeup.

Mys girls payed for their own hair and did their own make-up. I did pay for my niece to get her make-up done though.

I'll be paying for my MOH's hair and makeup. For my BMs, I'll be paying for their hair.

i would love to but the $$ just isn't there. my mom had mentioned paying for everyone to get their nails done the day before but she's strapped to. i put it out there that i'm going to book some time for us at the salon and that its up to everyone what they want done

I'm not. We are not getting ready together plus I cannot afford it.

The total for hair and makeup for them comes to 130.00. I told them just to bring 100 each, and I would pay the difference and the tip.

It's up to you. Personally, I paid because they had already paid for so much and I wanted them to be just as worry free on my wedding as I was.

i paid for the girls that came to my house to get ready - my SILs didnt want to come so they were on their own

You do not have to pay for it, but if you are REQUIRING them to get it done, then I think you should.
