Getting ready on the day.. Question!

My ceremony starts at 12:30pm, I am planning on getting ready at my house which is about 30 mins away from the hall (including traffic).
How early should I start getting ready?? .. an estimate? so I know what to tell my photographer/videographer, hair and makeup artist.

TIA!

Re: Getting ready on the day.. Question!

You want to leave by 11:45am, so work backwards from there. How many girls are getting their hair and make-up? Moms? How long will it take for you to get ready?

If you get up by 7am, take a bath, eat breakfast and start getting ready by 9am-10am, you should have plenty of time. You may even be able to wake up later...around 8, but I doubt that any of us will be able to sleep much...adrenaline is some crazy stuff.

Re: Getting ready on the day.. Question!

I would say 7am. I'd rather have too much time to get ready rather than not enough time.

I know what you mean! Waking up early is not a problem, I don't think I will be sleeping much!
I have three girls, my mom, aunts and my FMIL probably will need to have their hair done as well.

I agree, we should leave around 11:30-11:45, because I'll want to go to the bridal suite to put down my stuff first.

Re: Getting ready on the day.. Question!

Does your photographer want to take pics of you and the BP before the church? Ask them, if so you should be ready to go at least 2 hours before the ceremony starts.

Just something to keep in mind...

Re: Getting ready on the day.. Question!

We are having our ceremony and reception at the same place.
I think I set to get up at 6am, I rather have too much time than being late to my own wedding!
