(Updated) We signed the Contract!!

We are signing the contract tonight. Anything we should know before we sign?? Anything we should look at carefully?? Please advise. Thanks.

as mentioned in a previous thread, we picked up the contract from our attorney, reviewed it ourselves, signed and i returned it to him the next day. we did not feel the need to sit w/ him personally as he kept us informed of all the details prior to the signing.

Our lawyer went over everything in detail and we also looked over it ourselves. It was a pretty standard contract with some stuff added that pertained to some things they wanted to take (there was an extra freezer in the garage and they wanted it to be clear that they were taking it, etc)

Well since you picked it up from your attorney prior to signing it, i'm SURE that he carefully reviewed it before you even read it. If you're not versed in real estate contracts then I would never ever suggest anyone sign the contract before having their attorney review it.

(Updated) We signed the Contract!!

We signed on Monday!!! It was very emotional for me (I cried), FH and the sellers (the wife cried also.... lives in the house for 35 years!!). Everything went smoothly. After signing the sellers invited us for coffee at 'my house'. We are very excited!!! We are not closing until Sept. because the sellers are moving to FL and want to be here for the summer...bumer...lol
