What kind of gifts do you exchange for dating anniversaries?

Last year was our 5 year anniversary and we were at WDW a few weeks beforehand so we went out for a realy fancy dinner while we were there in order to celebrate. This year we considered going away for a weekend but it may not happen.

What kind of gifts or what did you do for dating anniversaries (if you're married, what did you do?)

We didn't do much of anything except to go out to a fancier dinner. We'd always get cards, sometimes I'd get flowers. Other times we'd go see a Broadway show.

We never placed a big emphasis on anniversaries (or Valentine's Day for that matter) because we feel that we do little things all year long to show we love each other.

we don't really do dating anniversary gifts - -maybe dinner but nothing fancy

we usually go away for our wedding anniversary

we just had our 5 year anniversary-dating and i mentioned the gifts i got him-tickets to a big soccer game in august and he got me some bride apparel, like the shorts and shirt and flowers and we went to a nice sushi dinner

we usually get something we can do together, last year concert tickets...

Nothing, we never celebrated our dating anniversary ... probaby because we dated in college and then got back together a couple of years later we never took a new 'date'.

Last May was our 1 year dating anniversary. I got DH Prince tickets and he got me a really pretty necklace. We also went to dinner at the place where we had our first date.

The 2 year anniversary of our first date is in a couple weeks. I think we will go back to the restaurant but not exchange gifts this time.

We're wacky about celebrating. We went to a nice dinner for our 6 month wedding ann. and for the one year ann. of our engagement we did the same thing we did to celebrate it last year (dinner and a show in the city).

I need some ideas. Actually I just thought of something. Since we had to cancel our trip to FL (we'd be on the plane right now), we were going to go to VA, but then we decided we probably can't afford that, but I've been working a lot of hours lately, and I could come up with the $$ by then..maybe I should surprise FH and book the trip (he was planning on taking that week off anyway, because one weekend is our anniversary and the following weekend is his birthday).

Last year..aside from our dinner in FL, I just remebered FH brought me flowers and took me to the aquarium, and we then we went on the cyclone for the first and last time, and a few days later I surprised him with tickets to 'I love you, you're perfect now change'

the year before I think we had a little picnic in the house? I don't remember

For our 2nd anniversary he took me out to dinner and gave me an adorable promise ring.

I feel like I'm SO out of ideas.

MAybe the VA thing is a good idea. I was going to throw him a birthday party, but that would have cost at leasta c ouple hundred bucks, so maybe I can do this instead. Do you think it's a good idea? I was thinking of driving down to Williamsburg, VA for a few days.

Are there any other driving distance tips you would recommend for mid june?
