18 days since IUI-- but not pregnant :(
It's been 18 days since my IUI (my first time doing this, with Clomid) and still no AF. I went for blood tests yesterday and they were negative. The nurse I spoke to could not explain why I'm having such a long luteal phase! She said based on my progesterone levels, it will be a few more days before I get my period.Has anyone ever had this experience? It's so weird. My only 'symptom' is sensitive sore nipples, which is weird because the rest of my breasts feel fine-- and it's usually the fleshy gland part that gets sore before AF.
I'm so frustrated!

Re: 18 days since IUI-- but not pregnant :(
I just started doing some deep research on clomid since I will be starting it next month. I have read in quite a few places that a side effect of the medicine could be a longer than normal LP. I am not sure what yo ur normal LP is but I believe I read that it COULD increase your cycle by 3-5 days. When I am at work later I will look and see if I can find one of the websites that I read that at.

I am sorry your test was negative.

By the way, my LP was 17/18 days while I was on Clomid. I just don't have anything to judge by since I normally don't ovulate or get my AF on my own.
I am sorry that the results were negative though....

I use to get my AF about 20 days after IUI....my cycle was a bit longer on the Clomid.

Re: 18 days since IUI-- but not pregnant :(
Exactly what Diane said, happened to me. Last month my LP was 21 days....and it's always 14....but I was on progesterone suppositories, after I got my BFN, I stopped the progesterone and Af came. Now I am 16 dpo still no AF , and on the progesterone once more. Not sure when I am going for bloodwork, since....I am going away this weekend, and I seriously can not be late or take another day off from work......and they only do bloodwork in the mornings. Ugg....it's so frustrating ......
