Hair ideas for round faced ladies

I am a girl with a pretty round face and rather sizable head (IMO ) I am a little concerned about hair/headpieces b/c I really DON'T want to look like a bowling ball...

any brides/B2Be's have ideas/share my concern.

TIA!

Re: Hair ideas for round faced ladies

You can do half up with some face framing curls in front. That looks pretty.

Re: Hair ideas for round faced ladies

How funny, you sounds like my head! I am going with the all up look with a tiara to try to offmatch the whole round head thing. I am also putting my veil in the middle of the curls on the top of my head to add a little more lift because I found that if I put the veil right behind the tiara, I just looked like a bowling ball......JMO

1st one bowling ball (and yes, I'm wearing clothes)
2nd one how I'm doing it

Re: Hair ideas for round faced ladies

I did the half up/half downthing too. It was very windy, but my hair stayed fine.

I didn't want to wear it up, b/c my hair is thin & whatever kind of bun or whatever, would look so tiny on my big head.

ETa- lookign at teh pics, I thiknthat having it teased alittle on top, helped take the attention away from my big face.

here is a pic.

Re: Hair ideas for round faced ladies

I have a big long head. Maybe I should post a thread for 'big and long headed brides'. I won't wear my hair up because I have a huge head and need softness around my face.

Re: Hair ideas for round faced ladies

I have a very round face & my eyes get little when I smile too, yet my wedding being in July & having thin hair I think I'm definitely going with an updo but with bangs.
