Pet Peeves?

I know that everyone has pet peeves! I only have two that really relate to weddings/showers.
#1 I don't like it when the BP opens all the gifts and the cards and then shoves them into the Brides lap to take a pic. I know it takes a lot of time opening things, but I think if people went through the effort of buying and wraping the gift, you can tear a liitle paper (even if people help you tear, its not that bad).
#2 I hate it when the Bride makes a comment after opening a gift about how they 'forgot' everything they regestered for. I've even heard the comment 'I registered for THAT!' Not Nice!
Any other wedding or non-wedding pet peeves out there?

Re: Pet Peeves?

I HATE when BP opens gifts/cards for the bride, I think that is so rude. The bride doesn't even get to acknowledge the gift.

Scattered rose petals are a pet peeve of mine....rose petals are pretty, but I just think it looks messy. Sorry to anyone who's using scattered rose petals! JMHO!

Re: Pet Peeves?

I hate it when people ask me:

how much we paid per plate
how many carats is my diamond
how much I make or FH
how much we paid for our house

I think that these people just don't get just how rude their questions are...This list could really be a lot longer.

Re: Pet Peeves?

the following questions should never be asked to the bride or groom from someone other then immediate family:

why are you having such a long engagement
how much are you paying per person
why'd you pick THAT hall?
how big is your diamond
where are you going to live after you get married

Re: Pet Peeves?

I can't believe people really ask these questions, I mean I believe all you girls, of course, I just can't believe how rude people are!

I would be so mad if any of my BMs even thought about opening my gifts, it's my day so let me take the time to acknowledge the gifts that people brought so I can properly thank them for it.

My personal pet peeve is when people share what they'd like to see/have at the wedding who are contributing absolutely NO $$$$$$$!!! I mean, if you want to help us out financially then we'll surely take your suggestions and ideas into consideration but you're not really helping by just opening your mouth and offering your opinions and criticisms!

Re: Pet Peeves?

my pet peeve:

i dont like it when people who are not planning or thinking about plannning a wedding ask me how much we are paying per plate and then they say 'oh that is pretty reasonable.'
Reasonable? are u kidding? wedding plate prices are ridiculous (IMO) and i did not even include tip/tax/site fee!
