RP from 06 Board: How did you ask jr. bridesmaid?

Repost from the 06 Brides Board....

My jr. bridesmaid is FI's daughter....She already knows she is going to be in the wedding party, FI sat down with her to explain everything... Now, even though some of my bridesmaids knew too, I asked them to be in my bridal party in a special way by getting them a card and framing a picture of me and the BM I was asking...

I want a cute way to be able to do this for FI's daughter too...should I do the same with a card and a picture of us? Or something different? I wanted something a little more different, more special because she is a jr. bm and I will be her stepmom...any ideas?

ETA: Also, I am really close with her. I take her out with me a lot, so I wanted to do something really special. She is going to be 8 in July....

what if you make a special day just you and her, or just you, her and FI. Let her pick her favorite restaurant and something fun she wants to do for the day. Then at dinner give her a present and a card asking her to be part of the wedding party. Just a suggestion.
