Scared To Book !!!!!! Anyone else feel like this at first ??????

Okay.....
I saw 3 photographers and I think I might go with Duet because of the great referals on this site and the price we got was great.

Also, I only saw one florist and I love John from Flower Michele and I have total confidence in him.

I am just SOOO scared to book for some reason! I am afraid I will make a bad decision somewhere if I don't see every single option on Long Island!!!!!

Am I being crazy????
Or .......
Does this mean I should search some more????

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, my fiance is kinda letting me choose what I want so I am even more lost!

lol! I am also the bride on here who loves two dresses and can't even decide on one yet! lol!

relax!!! you don't need to see every option- you know what is best for you!!

i booked my photographer without seeing any others, and she is great! same with our dj, cocktail hour musician, and wedding planner. we researched everything carefully, and knew we were making good choices.

No, I don't think your being crazy at all. I was the same way but you have to go with your gut. I usually use the vendors who people recommended which helped me make my decision. I also booked Duet because two friends of mine have used them. To be completely honest Duet is the only vendor I have 100% confidence in. Maybe it's because two friends of mine have used them and pictures came out GORGEOUS!! I'm sure whatever decision you make you will be happy.

We saw only one hall and one florist (though I had seen this florist's work at 2 other weddings) and we booked the first DJ we met with. I would not have changed a thing about any of them. Trust your gut and it seems like you have done your homework. That helped us a lot too- my DJ got nothing but raves from other brides on this site, so we met with him. We felt comfortable with him and liked what he had to offer. Same with the hall.

Don't worry this is totally normal...or at least I think it is...everytime I book a vendor I have at least one night of nightmares. I love my vendors and I am still nervous.

I know how you feel!

I was scared to book with some of my vendors for different reasons: either the vendor is the first person I see or just the thought of leaving deposits without knowing if they'll screw up, etc.

Take your time. Don't rush into any decisions just because you think you should have Vendor X booked by now. You want to be convinced that these people are the best compromise between quality and affordability.

I think every decision is important to you. When it feels right, you go with your gut. If you aren't 100% don't settle.
Remember one thing- Everybody wants your business, and they will try to push you into making a decision.
I didn't book my video until 2 months before because I wasn't happy with the prices & the companies I saw. It's so nervewrecking because you feel pressured by time. Pace yourself and don't rush into anything.
Get what you want and feel 100% sure about everything. It's your day and your money.

If you think you got a good price and you clicked with the vendor i would say go ahead and book it. Less stuff to worry about.

Well, I booked both my photog (Spelman Studios) and florist (Flower Michele) after only one meeting. They came highly recommended and I really clicked with both, so didn't feel the need to look any further.

If it feels right to you, it probably is. Don't worry about seeing everyone on LI. Good luck!

I totally understand how you feel. I am planning the wedding from Virginia and the ONLY people I saw for any vendors were the ones most referred to by girls on this board.

I went to ONE photographer: Duet (booked on the spot)
I went to ONE florist: Flower Michele.

That was all I needed!

I only saw two venues for my wedding. When I walked into the first place(which I ended up choosing), I had a full-on panic attack. I had no doubt about the place or getting married but the whole thing can get overwhelming. You will make good choices.

No, I felt the exact same way. So did FH. I think the photographer and the reception hall were the scariest for us. Everything else became pretty simple after those two things. Duet does get excellent reviews (we couldn't use them, unfortunately they were booked by the time we got the ball rolling). so it sounds as if you won't regret your choice.

It helps me to remember I am marrying someone I love dearly, and if we made a poor or so-so choice with something else, we'll get over it.
