Re: Bridesmaids dresses?? When can I start looking?
I say they need to order it at least 7 months in advance. Mine are ordering 9 months in advance. So figure on that. I say I would start looking. What do you have to lose

I don't believe it is too soon! We ordered my BM's dresses in Nov 04 for a March 06 wedding...my MOH is getting married 7/06 & we are ordering our gowns 6/4...I think the sooner the better, this way you allow for some manufacturing downtime!

Re: Bridesmaids dresses?? When can I start looking?
IMO, i think its too soon. I havent even ordered my dress!I would want to wait because I feel that more styles tend to come out after each season and I would be upset if I ordered dresses (which only take 4 months) and something came out better.
Majority of the styles have been the same or close but I like to wait..just in case.
Plus, I think I need to be getting my dress before my BM'S.

Re: Bridesmaids dresses?? When can I start looking?
DCS, I think you need to get your dress. You should ordered it within 9-12 mos of your wedding. Most take 6-9 mos to get in. Plus the earlier creates an easier fitting process for you and your Bm's

Re: Bridesmaids dresses?? When can I start looking?
I am going to start looking in late summer/early fall for mine. My wedding is 5/28/06... so that gives about 8 months or so.

Re: Bridesmaids dresses?? When can I start looking?
I would wait on ordering them - But I already picked mine out and had the girls look at them to make sure that they liked them - I dont think that its too early to start now -depending on the dress they take 2 to 6 mts to come in .....As a matter of fact I picked out my mothers dress this Saturday

Re: Bridesmaids dresses?? When can I start looking?
I recently ordered my dress and I'm currently looking at BM dresses. Hope to have them ordered by the end of the summer. I'd rather get them in early than be late and have trouble with fittings and alterations.
