FYI - David's Bridal in Carle Place is moving
on June 1st. If any of you girls ordered and/or bought your dress there, I STRONGLY advise if your wedding is coming up soon, that you get your dress out of there ASAP. They are the most unorganized business I've ever seen !!

We got my flower girl dress there and I was VERY hesitant..but thought how bad can they be!!!!
Well,,,yesterday the manager called me telling me that I had 5 days to pick up the flower girl dress otherwise they cant guarantee that after they move they will be able to locate the dress and they arent resposible for it!!!!!!!!!
They are moving next to Fortunoffs at the Source Mall.

That explains why we had a certain amoutn of days to pick up our dresses. They said they were "changing computers?" Ughh We all have our dresses but what do we do about fittings now. I feel like it's going to be so chaotic.

Keep your dresses and go elsewhere for your alterations. They are just so unorganized. But that's up to you. Being your wedding isn't for a while, maybe you could chance it, but for right now, take ALL of your dresses home with you until at least after their move. It's sad, but their staff even advised some of us girls to take our dresses home before the June 1st move. If I wasn't getting married in less than a month and paid in FULL for everything, I'd take my business somewhere else, but unfortunately, I have no choice at this point. Good Luck to you !

I AM SO NOT A FAN OF DAVIDS I HAVE PEOPLE OUT OF TOWN IN MY WEDDING SO I WANTED TO FIND A PLACE FOR THE BRIDESMAIDS THAT WOULD BE EASY FOR EVERYBODY TO GET THE SAME DRESSES. I WENT TO DAVIDS HERE AND PICKED OUT THE DRESS WITH A FEW OF MY BRIDESMAIDS AND THEY PUT IT IN "MY FILE" TWO DAYS LATER WE WENT TO ORDER THE DRESSES AND....O IM SORRY THAT DRESS IS DISCONTINUED YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD YOU COULD ORDER IT! I SAID O BUT TWO DAYS AGO WHEN WE WERE IN HERE YOU WERE READY TO TAKE OUR PAYMENT--IN FULL TO OREDER THEM......THEY ARE HORRIBLE IN THERE!!!!

OMG - Thank you for this!!
I've placed one BM dress order there, but i'm going to remove it and have my MOH take care of it at Davids in Boston. I never got the feeling that the girls at the Carle Place store really knew what they were talking about. They were always more concerned with taking an order and gossipping than helping you out..

I picked up my bridesmaids dresses yesterday from David's Bridal and it was a success!!! The dresses are gorgeous and BRAND NEW and I have to say that I have had only positive experiences with them so far!!! I feel so much better that I picked up the dresses before their move!!!

Good for you. I'm happy things worked out for you. I was also having positive experiences with them until it came to alterations.  Our initial appt. went well and even my first fitting, but then down hill after that. I've hears negative things about their alteration department, but took a chance because everything else seemed to be going smoothly. Boy, was i wrong. I'm going on Wednesday to get my dress whether it's done or not !

 for you! I am sure everything will work out in the end...My bridesmaids and I are not getting our alterations done there...I have a seamstress, who is a friend of the family, doing them.

I had the worst experience with them. FH cousin is a designer for DB and told me to go there pick a dress and she would make it. So I did, My "bridal consultant" was 45 min late, came to help me w/crumbs on her face and never found me a dress I liked. She tried to give me a dress w/ a coat.(getting marrried in AUg) who wants a coat? Very unsatisfied with them. dont recommend.

My girls dresses came in within 3 weeks & they are PERFECT. I was definitely a bit worried. They are so much nicer than the store model. You should be safe if you go there after June 1st. Good luck all.
