Vendor Rave: Bjorn Press ---Letterpress Invites

Sorry I didn't do this sooner - just got the invites in last week. If you are looking into letterpress, it's definitely worthwhile to look into Bjorn Press. Bryce is a one man operation. I found info on him on the Knot, and emailed him. He sent me a pretty reasonable quote for letterpress - and I took him on. He sent me a huge package of samples - amazing! I was soo impressed - but I was more impressed by his modesty! I saw each of these sample invites later in Martha in a special section on letterpress.
Bryce only does custom work. For around $1500, I received 200 sqaure invites including reception cards, RSVP + envelope, 2 seperate map cards, wrapped with a cigar band PLUS 350 menus (long ones), placecards, favour tags and church program covers. All in letterpress - even the envelopes. I know this is pretty steep for most people, but if you are looking to splurge on letterpress , without literally breaking the bank, Bjorn press is amazing! (I was getting quoted easy $2000 for only invites, no maps!!) He is a pleasure to work with - he is a great guy! Once my scanner feels like working again - I'll attach a pic! That's a great recommendation and definitely not as expensive as some of the quotes I've seen. Dauphine was sooo expensive. I paid around the same as you for only 100 letterpress invites from Calligraphy Lady, no maps or anything.

What part of Canada are you in? I've been back and forth to Toronto the past few weeks for work!

I'm from Toronto! I just love your board though b/c you guys have great ideas and are very good with etiquette! I work in downtown Toronto - FM me next time you're around and would like to see some hot spots!!!! Do you like it here? I know, not as cool as NY...I know, I know....

OMG! I will definitely FM you. I'm going to be up there a lot actually -- over by King & Yonge St (I guess that's the financial district??). I really like it. It's such a fun city! Everyone is so nice too!

thanks so much for the info. I am looking for custom letterpress invites..need to get moving and place the order within the next two weeks. I'll check them out!

Been trying to contact Marsville Press in Canada, but they don't respond to e-mail.

Wow that is a great price! I also got a good price from DeMilo designs if anyone's interested. As for Marsville...we gave up - too many people I spoke to couldn't get in touch with them

thanks a bunch for the info! I've been looking into letter press too-I've absolutely fallen in love with this design by A Day in May, but don't know if I'll be able to swing it.
