Re: Catholic Church Ceremony
Everything is the same but Communion. We still had 2 readings, the gospel and homily.eta: And the Prayer of the Faithful, our ceremony was about 40 minutes

And no offertory procession - since there's no eucharist.

Forgot to add too - once you go to Precana they give you the book that lists the entire ceremony and the readings you can choose from.

Re: Catholic Church Ceremony
I believe the Liturgy of the Eucharistic and the Communion Rite are eliminated, which is pretty lengthy (the bulk of the mass after the creed and prayer of the faithful). Since the Our Father is smack in the middle of that, it probably is not said. This site might help:http://myweb.lmu.edu/fjust/Mass.htm
I think if you really wanted to have the Lord's Prayer, you could ask the priest to lead the congregation is saying it before the concluding rite.

My priest said about an hour for us. Our wedding starts at 2:30 and confessions start at 3:30. I we were to have a mass it would have started at 2:00.

I believe it is about an hour, or an hour + if you are doing a receiving line at the church.

Definitely an hour +. Even after a receiving line, I am sure people will want to take pics in & outside the church too. Especially if the weather is nice. I have a feeling we will be at the church longer than an hour.

We were at the church a little over an hour total with the ceremony (yes about 40-45 min), receiving line, and a few pictures outside.

The ceremony itself might only be 30 minutes. It would be shorter if you weren't doing any special dedications, or a unity candle. We didn't have a receiving line b/c of concerns about getting photos during daylight savings time and that saved a LOT of time too. We just came down the aisle, went out the front door, walked around to the side door and waited inside the lobby of the side door until most of the people exited. We took 2 or 3 photos on the altar, and then walked down the steps outside. We knew we would see everyone at the reception, so that is where we greeted everyone.

Re: Those who have had or are having a Catholic Church Ceremony
I've been to several ceremonies in the catholic church. They've been everywhere from 20-40 minutes, depending on how much the priest spoke, etc. The unity canle, flowers for mothers, they really don't take THAT long, maybe a few minutes. The priest or deacon was the one who really seemed to set the pace at the ceremonies I've been to

Anyone else???
Our ceremony only, no mass, was about 35-40 minutes. But the Monsignor made it that long by adding personal anecdotes about my DH and I. Normally, I would say between 30-35 minutes.
