Kosher catering for a few guests????

I may have possibly 4 Kosher guests at my wedding.
I would like to be able to accomadate them, but I do not know of any Kosher Restaurants or caterers in the Westbury area. Has anybody had this experience? Does anybody know of a good Kosher Restaurant or caterer in the Westbury area?

Re: Kosher catering for a few guests????

There is a place in one of the 5 towns called Mauzones. They also have a location in Queens. They should be able to provide kosher meals for your guests from soup to nuts. Keep in mind, however, that they will be wrapped and perhaps DOUBLE wrapped to ensure the proper rules of kashrut. The utensils will also be wrapped as it is just as important for the utensils to be kosher as it is for the food. I say this because the presentation of these meals will not look like those of your non-kosher guests. But people understand and in the grand scheme of things it shouldn't matter as long as your guests are accommodated.

I would ask Westbury Manor if they can arrange this for you. I venture to say that your request for kosher meals is NOT the first. Also, make sure that you let them know which tables your kosher guests will be seated so they know where to bring the meals. I hope this helps.

Re: Kosher catering for a few guests????

fox hollow said that either they can get our guests just a main course or they order a full meal (appitizers, dessert, etc.) from someplace for us. they take care of it, and all we have to do is tell them where they will be sitting and if we want the dinner or full meal. those guests also have to tell us before hand what they prefer to eat ( meat, chicken, fish). i'm assuming that west. manor would be the same as fox hollow.

You should ask your hall. The coral house provides kosher meals upon request.

Yes, my Temple is 'kosher style' and not kosher. They are not charging extra for glatt meals.
