Went to a wedding at the Fountainhead Sunday night

I don't know if anyone is considering places up in Westchester, but if you are let me know and I'll give feedback.

I would love to hear your thoughts! I'm having my reception at Glen Island, which is Fountainhead's sister site.

Thanks!

Re: Went to a wedding at the Fountainhead Sunday night

Well, the place was HUGE. When you walk in, they ask you which affair you are going to and there is some confusion if you come a little early about whether or not the champagne they have is for you or the other(s) affairs. I don't know how many there were. They may have staggered the times, but I don't know b/c I came like 15 min early and left probably similarly early. The ceremony was there too and it was nice because they had skylights in the room which allowed the sun to shine it. The walls are peach colored--maybe an orangeish ivory. It kept it bright and sunny, but also could be seen as a little bland. The dance floor also had it's ups and downs. It was round, which I love, but it was also small. Hmph, I can't think of anything else directly related to the place...and the other parts of the wedding I could review would be useless b/c I don't know who any of the vendors/ officiants (yes, that's plural) were! I hope this helps...feel free to ask me more specific questions. Oh, most importantly! the food! FH and my mom had the steak which they both thought was very good--and they both can identify good food from mediocre food. I had the salmon, which tasted good and the way it was made was lovely and original. Mine happened to be a little dry, but nothing I would dream of sending it back in a restaurant for or anything. Then again, I don't send back food in a restaurant unless I'm seriously PMSing, so I don't know if that's a good measure
