Hounds On The Sound 3K Dog Walk Pt Jeff (Save A Pet)

Bring your dog and join the fun. The third annual Hounds On The Sound 3K dog walk is coming Saturday, June 11th, raindate June 12th. The fun begins at 10 am at Port Jefferson Harbors Memorial Park, right on the beautiful Long Island Sound. Dogs and their owners can begin checking in at 10 am, and receive a gift bag of goodies. The walk will begin at 11am. There is a shorter course for those 4 legged and 2 legged friends that don't want to go the distance. Vendors, Food, Live music, and our famous pet contests will keep everyone entertained. Biggest dog, smallest dog, best trick, and best costume are among the contests that will make the day complete. It will be a wonderful, family day filled with fun and furry friends.

They have a 6 month old min. age limit. DO they bend that rule ever. my little guy is 40 lbs, and has had all shots and neutered, but only 5 months old. My 10 year old could prob. only do short walk, but i would LOVE to do this!

I'm not *positive* but I know I've seen young dogs there ...

WOw, this really sounds cool. I am avaliable that day, so might stop down. I only live in Rocky Point, real close. My Dachshund would love this, he loves walks. Thanks for the info!

Dachshund!!!! hey, we gotta talk. I've got Oscar, a black and tan and very silly dachshund! He's all I talk about!!!! Glad to see another one on board.

I'd love to go to this but I'm not sure we can make it.
