Repost - Need Help with Reception Card Wording.

I posted this on BHB but didn't get too many responses.

I need help figuring out how to word our reception cards. I need to email the wording to our invite designer by tomorrow and can't figure out what it should say.

Our ceremony is at 3:30, and the CH starts at 7pm, so we can't use immediately following, which is how I've seen all the samples online.

Also, our reception is 6 hours instead of the usual 5 hours (from 7pm-1am). Do I need to let people know that?

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

Oh, one more thing, if I add formal attire, does that mean black tie, or does it just mean to wear a suit and an evening dress? I want formal but not black tie.

ETA: The reason we would put Formal Attire on the card b/c we have a lot of people from OOT that have never been to a LI wedding. Where FH is from people dress up for the church then go home and change into jeans for the reception.

TIA!

Re: Repost - Need Help with Reception Card Wording.

OK.. as for the reception... I think it should say

Reception at
Seven o'clock (in the evening - can be added)

As for the formal attire, i think that it is understood without staing it.
That's just my opinion.

I hope it helps!!!

I put formal attire on my invitation and i got phone calls asking if they had to wear a tux. All I said was then I would of put Black Tie on the invitation. I found it very interesting that noone knew what formal attire was.
