We've narrowed our hall choices...

OK, after seeing about seven halls, we've narrowed our options down to three. We're now trying to decide between:

North Ritz Club
Carlyle on the Green
Land's End

I don't know what to do! All are very pretty, but all have a 'strike' against them. With NRC, I'm concerned about being right on Jericho Tpke...what if an eighteen wheeler decides to honk its horn during our outdoor ceremony? I can just picture it...'Do you, Jamie, take FH to be your lawfully wedded --HOOOOOONK-- husband?'

The Carlyle is so elegant and classy, and I love the areas for the ceremony (outdoor and indoor), but it's also very expensive. It's the most pricey of all three. Eek.

Land's End is just breathtaking, but it's a gamble with the weather and it's also kind of far.

If you were making this decision, what would you do? What points would you consider? Any feedback would be great. TIA!

Re: We've narrowed our hall choices...

My vote would be for Carlyle on the Green. NRC is beautiful too, but I agree with you about being right on Jericho Tpk. I've never been to Land's End. I love Carlyle. If we could have afforded it, I would have my wedding there in a heartbeat.

Re: We've narrowed our hall choices...

I've been to a wedding at each of these halls, and I'd have to say my favorite is a close tie b/w Carlyle and Land's End..with Land's End prob being slightly ahead bc I remember liking my meal better there. It also happened to be a gorgeous day, so that helped.
IMO - I don't think you can go wrong with any of these halls.

Good Luck!!

Re: We've narrowed our hall choices...

I'm biased but I love for Land's End! I'm a huge ocean fan and 'needed' my wedding to be on or near the water! We went to a showcase there a few months back and the food is amazing!

I agree about the weather being a factor (but July is the month with the least rain so we are crossing our fingers!)

I think all three of your choices are great options! Good luck

Re: We've narrowed our hall choices...

I have only been to North Ritz and Carlye...both are very nice...you have to see which one is going to be BEST FOR YOU..no place is perfect.

Also NRC...my friend didn't have her ceremony there but had an outdoor cocktail hour (I guess thats the area the ceremony would be) I never noticed noise...its in the back and I think that pond and all the plants muffle to noise

Re: We've narrowed our hall choices...

The only one that I have been to is NRC. My company does company meetings there occasionally. I understand your concern about noise but it is pretty far off the road. I doubt it will be an issue unless you are unlucky enough to have an irate truck driver stop in front of the hall and honk their horn but I think the chance of that is pretty slim.

Re: We've narrowed our hall choices...

All three are great choices...you have to go with your gut...and evaluate who is giving you the best deal (atmosphere, service, food, liquor)....I think Land's End is gorgeous....

I was at a wedding at North Ritz with an outdoor ceremony and i have to tell you - i dont kow how they do it but the noise from Jericho Tpke is completely drowned out - we did not hear a thing!! It was incredible!

The only one I've been to is the Caryle and If I could
afford it that's where I'd be having my wedding. The food
was great and the ballroom is gorgeous. Good luck!
