Re: Timeline for Labor Day Weekend...
Our wedding is on Sept. 4th. We just got our envelopes back from the calligrapher yesterday.Invites should go out 8-10 weeks, before (meaning 2nd to last week of june-1st week of July). We send out save the dates back in Jan., so we're probably sending them out 9 weeks in advance. Since it is a holiday weekend, if you didn't send out save the dates I would suggest sending them out sooner rather than later. I imagine you know where you're getting your invites from and that they won't take long to get here??? Mine were custom made, and took several months to come in. I also hope you weren't planning on calligraphy, b/c you probably don't have enough time left.
As for RSVP date, the people at Lion in the Sun told us 1 month before, so yours would be August 3rd. That gives you plenty of time to contact anyone who might not have responded on time, and plenty of time to arrange tables and place cards.
Hope that helps!

Re: Timeline for Labor Day Weekend...
My wedding is Sept 2 and my invitations are ready to be written, but I am dreading the task of putting everything together. I would like to send them out by the second week of June. The RSVP is July 17 in order to invite 'B' list people and give them enough time to respond. Lots of luck!

Re: Timeline for Labor Day Weekend...
I just got mine back from the calligrapher 2 weeks ago, but will probably send them the first week in July. I did save the dates in January, so everyone should be aware of the date.As for RSVP date, mine is Aug 5th -- I'm sort of regretting that and wish I had made it earlier, but oh well! they're printed already.
