Ladies who are taking pictures before your ceremony...

Are you planning anything special for when you see your groom for the first time that day?

As of right now, I'm getting married at my hall. I know this is the easiest option for us, but we'd have to take pictures beforehand and I'm a little hesitant about seeing FH before I take my big walk down the aisle. I want our first time seeing each other that day to be very special!

I'd love to hear what other brides have done/are planning to do.

TIA!

We're also getting married at the hall and not seeing each other beforehand. We'll take pics separately (i.e. me and the girls, him and the guys, etc.) before the ceremony and then the together ones afterwards. We'll have to miss our CH but I kind of want to do that anyway since we'll be announced into the reception. It'll be tough but we'll manage!!

Same here. I abs. REFUSE to see FI before the ceremony. I will take some pics before w/ my BP and fam and have him do the same too, then some 30 mins during CT hr, then LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!

We're doing the same, but hoping to make some of our CH since it's an hour & half, but lots of pics is more important to us.

I've been giving this very issue some thought myself. All I know so far is that I'll be getting ready at our house and he'll be at a hotel near the hall. It would be a nice touch to have our first time seeing each other that day to be special.

When I come up with any ideas, I'll let you know!

Re: Ladies who are taking pictures before your ceremony...

Since FH and I are Jewish we HAVE to see each other before. We will also be taking all BP and family pictures beforehand at the temple as well. I will be getting ready at the temple where my ceremony AND reception will be and he will be kicked out of our home (when we get one some time this summer G-d willing) the night before to get ready at his parents house. We do a quick "mock-rehearsal" before hand, but the moment at which he sees me for the first time WILL most certainly be great no matter what the tradition.

I have the same issue - we have to take all our pics beforehand. I want to be sure to see him for the first time alone - without an audience to make it special for just the two of us.

I'd love to hear what other couples are doing as well.

We are getting married at our hall. I see it this way - It's my wedding Day , not my wedding moment . We will be doing pictures before our ceremony. We are having our first meeting on the beach at Giorgio's. We can capture it on video and in pictures. It will give us a chance to talk and calm any nerves before the ceremony. This way we don't miss the cocktail hour or all of it at least. We also did our engagement shots at this beach.

Re: Ladies who are taking pictures before your ceremony...

i am seeing him before the wedding we are taking all of our pictures before hand so i dont have to miss any of the party.
i think this will make us both less nervous.
we start taking picts at 2:30 at the hotel next to the reception hall. we have two photographers so one will be taking picts of the guys and the other with the girls and then we will see eachother and take all picts and family picts.
fun fun fun i hate posed pictures.
