Re: So. Queens people - did your lights just go out for a second?

It was scary. They said there were blackouts in part of manhattan. It just ames me scared b/c of the blackout in 03. I was really scared b/c I was on my way out the door for work that night and I was 15 minutes late leaving, just inexplicably, I remeber looking at the clock thinking 'how the heck did it get so late' when the lights went out, and if I had left work on time, I would have been underground on the subway when the blackoutoccured . God was looking out for me on that day!

Re: So. Queens people - did your lights just go out for a second?

I narrowly missed that blackout day..I was in your fav place, Jen, disneyworld!
Otherwise I would have been at work and would have had to walk home again, from 40th st/manhattan to ozone park queens. (I did that walk once on 9/11, would NOT want to do it again). My poor brother walked allt he way downtown to uptown, over the 59th st bridge, to ozone park.

I was in the Bronx. I had the same walk - but I was only going to Forest Hills.
