repost from BHB aunt FLO and the honeymoon
I just figured it out and I will be getting my period during the honeymoon
I am on the pill, is there anyway I could 'push back' aunt flo a week???? I've heard that if you skip the white pills you won't get it that month??? has anyone else heard of this???Is there anything I can do?
I know, this is more information that you care to know about me!

Join the club! Im supposed to get also.. You can 'skip' your period that month, its totally fine. If you dont take the white pills and just continue with the others, you wont get it. You may just want to check with your doctor just to be sure its ok for you.

Yes, you can start taking the new pack immediately after the old pack is over and you will skip your period that month. I am on seasonale and get my period every 3 months.. its so great!

I have been doing this for a while now. Nothing has ever happen to me. I am on the patch though so its a little different. When I was on the pill, I used to do it. Who wants to have aunt flo visit on a vacation.

I am in the same boat...In order to make sure I don't have any spotting or anything, I am going to skip my period this month...I am actually going to the doctor tomorrow...She already told me to do this in advance bc sometimes when you skip your period, you are still very bloated
So I suggest if you plan on doing this, do it ahead of time...In order to skip your period, you skip the last week of pills & continue onto a new package

Re: repost from BHB aunt FLO and the honeymoon
just make sure you check with your doctor with ortho-tryclene though b/c my friend tried to do it and since the pills have a different amount of hormones each week with that pill, you have to actually skip the last week and take the third week of the next pack...your doctor will be able to tell you if that applies to the ortho low pill too....and once they tell you which ones to take, it works great!!!

Re: repost from BHB aunt FLO and the honeymoon
My docter said to call her in january and let her know when I will get my period in July so she can tell me what to do. She said skipping it just that month will most likely have break through bleeding, and it is better to do it gradually a few months ahead of time. Call your dr...they are more than accomadting when it comes to this, or at least mine is

I've tried this and it really depends on your body and the type of pill your on. Sometimes works, sometimes it gets worse.Try it a few months in advance (or now) because you may end up screwing your cycle up so your flowing for a month!!

Re: repost from BHB aunt FLO and the honeymoon
I am on Ortho Tricyclen also and one month when I tried to skip right to the next package I had break through bleeding. b/c the hormones change every week, just taking the three weeks can still trigger you to get your period. Def take the doc's advice and try to alter your period a couple of months before the wedding so you won't have it on your HM.Welcome New Vendors
