BM house went on fire and her dress burned

Help me girls!!!!
One of my bridesmaides house caught on fire last night and she lost everything, including the dress she is supposed to wear for my wedding next friday. I called the dress shop and they called the manufacturer (Bari Jay), the only dress they can get in, in that color is the dress that my maid of honor is wearing(sister). Its a cream colored dress, i need to find something....

OMG!! I am sorry to hear that. I hope no one got hurt. Which dress is it? Do you have a picture of it? Or what style #?

I am very sorry this happened and pray that all will be okay.

As for the dress, can you call Bari Jay personally? Given the terrible circumstances, I think they would do all they can to help you.

Honestly, I would tell your BM not to give your wedding a moment's thought and I'd go with whatever dress Bari Jay can send you. She must be going through hell right now and feels badly about the dress. Given the circumstances I really dont think it's a big deal at all that she has the same dress as your MOH. I know that we brides put lots of time and consideration into these decisions like BM dresses, bouquets, etc. and while you may not be getting the vision you initally saw for your bridal party, having your friend safe and not harmed is the most important thing.

OMG, that is horrible. I'll pray for everyone.

Can you try going to a bridal boutique that may have that dress for a wedding that was canceled or something. A coworker of mine had problems with her BM dresses 5 days before the wedding. She went to Saks, and there was a party that was canceled who had the same number of BMs and they didn't need too many alterations. Maybe you can find soemthing like that. It is only one dress, so it may not be so difficult.

Thankfully- My friend and everyone in her house was ok. Everyone got out fine, of course all of there personal treasures have been ruined. There isnt anything in the same color from Bari Jay, except for the MOH dress. When i told my sister what happened of course she said that she would have to wear the same dress but i know how bummed she was to hear that her dress wouldnt be special. SO i am goign to go out to estelles and davids bridal and call all the shops i can to see if there is a 'shop'dress that i can buy for her.

what else is going to happen with 10 days to go?

What if you got your sister something special, whether it be a shawl or necklace. Maybe something you can add to the dress like a brooch...this way she still stands out!

I'm so sorry this happened, but at least your BM is okay!
