Chocolate filled Place holders- DO or Don't (Repost from '06)- updated with WORKING LINK

I posted this on '06 a few days ago, but I thought I'd put it out here for more input/ideas. I know it has to be changed and I have to see if they will print different names, but we'll see. I could just order the boxes and print them myself on clear labels or something

I am toying with different ideas with this. I didn't want to do a pic frame or anything like that- I wanted to give chocolates.

I came upon these personalized favor boxes, and am thinking to have written on them something like

Jane & Tom (or Guest whatever)
Table 2

it gives you two lines in a specific font. then I would put 2 Jacques Torres chocolates (a white and a dark) inside, so they can eat their table markers....

what do you think?

TIA!

Re: Chocolate filled Place holders- DO or Don't (Repost from '06)

I gave Lindt truffles (white) inside a vellum bag and attached a place card with blue ribbon to the outside...they were a HUGE hit and everyone wanted to knw where I got the chocolate from...so I say go for it. Chocolate placecards rock...but then again, I'm biased!

Re: Chocolate filled Place holders- DO or Don't (Repost from '06)- updated with LINK

The link isn't working for me

But I gave out chocolates too. I put 2 Baci's (that's all could fit) into these white favor boxes with a little note saying 'hugs and kisses from the new Mr. and Mrs.' (I've seen them done with Herseys' Hugs and Kisses, but actually Baci's means kiss in Italian that's why I used the Baci's) and put them on the tables at the Reception.

I know, I tried to fix it. I hope it works now!

yes it is.

I like the idea. I wanted to do that, but I changed my mind, 'cause I wasn't sure how I was going to work the different names on each. I'm not sure if they could custom each one differently (with different names on each), but I do like your idea with the clear label.

I think that people should fit chocolate into their wedding as often as possible!

I LOVE your bags AND I love Baci (the candy and the Gelato. it's my fav- when in Italy, I eat it 2-3 times a DAY!!)

I also planning to give out a bag at the end with coffee and chocolate croissants- I wonder if that style of bag you used comes bigger? can you tell me where you found it?

I don't remember what invitation book (in the back they have acessories) I ordered them from. But I just found this picture from http://www.rexcraft.com/order/ProductSelect.cfm?group=PG0374&page=2&recordsperpage=9&Subgroup=1563&format=xx (just to give you an idea)

FYI - the bags I used were very similar to the 'filigree' ones on the Rexcraft site. But A LOT cheaper.
