is this a bad place card idea??

my hall may not let us do the votive place cards that i was really looking forward to doing.

we are doing wine favors, pindor autumn, one per couple. would it look stupid if we attached a leaf type label on it and use that as the place cards as well??
TIA

Re: is this a bad place card idea??

Hi! I'm doing wine favors as well and was going to do this The only problem is that people usually pick up their placecards right away, so I need to figure out a way to do it so that people aren't walking around the cocktail hour holding bottles of wine! If your hall can set the placecards out on a table near the ballroom JUST before the CH is ending, that might work.

Re: is this a bad place card idea??

I think it would look cute but will you have extra favors at the hall??

I only asked b/c we had ALOT of people who could not make it to the wedding send an envelope with someone else who WAS going so I would give that person 2 favors. One for them and one for whomever couldnt attend but sent a gift.
I don't know if that happens with everyone but I was suprised how many people did that.

wow i have never heard of that??!!! that is really nice of them to send a gift w/ someone though! I am actually ordering the wine now because i am getting a pretty good deal ($2 less than what pindor was selling them for and no tax) so i will definitely be over ordering anyway, i guess i could have a few extras left there just in case that happens?

Yeah thats why I said I dont know if its weird or not. Anyone on my side who could not attend sent a card with the rsvp or a few weeks before the wedding. His family was that day ( maybe they think its bad luck to give it before the wedding?? who knows )
