Labor Day and other September Brides

Where are you with planning?

We're done with most of the big stuff. Last weekend we took the FIL to the reception site so they could think about which tables to use. It was a bit stressful at first (they we're involved in the early planning) because they didn't like the location because people are in two rooms. But they are happy enough now.

I've given up trying to make everyone thrilled, moderately happy is fine with me. My motto is 'no surprizes' -- the parents might not love it, but you've known for weeks/months and won't say anything day of.

We booked a trio to play at the ceremony this week, and our envelops should come back this weekend I can start assembling them.

We also just started dance lessons. I really recommend this. (If you aren't sure, play the song at home and dance with your FI. Play the whole song ... and see how you feel.) I love my dance instructor, he is really being creative with our song. (Up where we belong).

Now I just have some odd things left to do...

When are you girls doing programs?
Do you have a wedding day schedule yet?

hi date twin!

i'm going to be stuffing the invitations really soon. as far as programs, we won't be able to do them until july, after we meet with the church to finalize stuff. that as well as the menus, which we'll do in july as well (i'm planning from chicago.)

no wedding day schedule yet. bridal shower is in july in ny (a surprise one in chicago which i do know about is in august) um, what else? all the big vendors are done. my hair and make-up trials are in july too. that is going to be a full four day trip to ny!

I feel so behind, I need to get my butt moving in hyperspeed.

Bridesmaid and MOH gifts
Shoes for me and my girls
Tuxes
Photo shoot location
Make Menus
Make Programs
Finalize everything with our vendors

And we got to Europe for two weeks on July 1… So I have a ton of stuff to do for that also.

I'm your twin date too!
I think we have all the big things done, but here is what's left:
-Stuff and mail invitations
-GM gifts (we know what we what, we just need to buy them).
-Book rehearsal dinner
-My shoes
-My veil
-Undergarments
-Make programs (my bridesmaid is doing this for me - she owns a stationary store, but I need to pick out ceremony music still)
-Write donation cards
-Fittings

That's all I can think of now, but I'm sure there is plenty more to do.
