REPOST FROM 06 - Westbury Manor Girls - The Garden City Hotel

I had called them to look into prices for our OOT guests. I'm not sure if what I got quoted was a fair price to ask my guests to pay. They gave me the following (by fair I mean TOO EXPENSIVE):

$175 for double bed
$195 for King

I am waiting for them to get back to me because it occurred to me that I'm not sure what they mean by 'double-bedded' room...does that mean TWO double beds or ONE full bed?
If its two beds I don't think the price is that crazy...if you spilt it between two couples its about $100 each...

Basically, I want to know: Would you feel like that was too much to pay for a hotel room for one night?
I know we can stay at other hotels but we figured after the reception everyones going to want to continue the party and GCH is the only one near our hall that has somewhere for everyone to go...any other hotel suggestions

I'm not a WM girl, but those are awesome prices for the GC hotel. I know it's usually either 2 doubles or a king/queen. Sometimes it's either or unless specifically requested.

Those are great prices-I am getting married at the WM and I sent out hotel info with my STD's for GC and Wingate Inn. And they were only a $40 difference.

I was pretty surpirsed when she told me the prices...they are lower because of the time of year I'm getting married...winter/fall

We're sending info for our OOT guests for the Inn at Fox Hollow and it's $209 - $250 per room - all King Suites or Two Beds in each room.

I am using the garden city hotel for my OOT guests for my wedding in April and I got those prices too, I thought they were pretty good for the Garden City Hotel.
