E party vent-need advice
okay ladies...I will try and make this small. Sat I am having a e party bbq-nothing crazy...about 50 people all family and half is the bridal party.I am very close with 4 of my mothers cousins and invited them however there are 2 who did not get invited. I am not close with them at all and they live 3 hours away. Word got out about the party and the cousins who were not invited made a big deal. Their mom who lives in FLA and is my mothers aunt called my aunt and went nuts. Saying i am rude and disresectful and how they will never come to my wedding. I feel horrible. I did not mean to hurt anyone however now they are making me miserable. I emailed my cousins and apologized and explained and even offered an invite and no response. So today my other cousin calls and tells me that I should call them and apologize again and that their mom will be in NY as well. After the way she carried on I do not want her there on saturday. I feel like they were so mean and of course never mentioned the years that they had events and never invited us. Need some advice. What do you guys think...
sorry so long.

Re: E party vent-need advice
I don't think you did anything wrong. Honestly, you were trying to save them from a long trek. They should be thankful and understanding of what you were trying to do! Esp if they've had events that you weren't invited to!! I wouldn't worry about it, just seems like their insulted now that the shoe is on the other foot!! Enjoy your party on Saturday and don't let them ruin your good time!!!

Re: E party vent-need advice
This is tough... I think that if you call them and apologize and they still refuse to respond, then don't pursue this any further. You meant no harm and if they can't see that and just want to make a scene, then you are better off without them.

Re: E party vent-need advice
Let it rest - you've done nothing wrong. People like this tend to have short memories (i.e. not inviting your family to events) and too many complaints.Enjoy your party
