Re: How far in advance should I start to look for my gown??
You seem to be right on time, certainly not too soon!It may take awhile to find 'the one' and it'll take a few months to come in, plus you have to leave room for alterations w/out being rushed at the last minute.
I ordered mine in April and my wedding isn't until next June. I say, the more time the better! Sounds like you have a good plan!!

Not too soon at all. I am getting married the day before you, and I ordered my dress over a month ago.

I think that you can never be too early. It might take you awhile to find your perfect dress.

Re: How far in advance should I start to look for my gown??
Good time to start looking most dresses take 9-12 months to come in, as mine did. And my salon even moved my wedding date up by two months, to insure I had my dress on time.

Re: How far in advance should I start to look for my gown??
Dresses can take three to four months to come in depending on the season and how busy your dress company may be. Some have taken as long as six months, so even if your not ready to try some on, I'd start narrowing some choices down, so when you do go to try on you can take some pictures to the bridal salon to show them what your looking for.

Re: How far in advance should I start to look for my gown??
i was told my gown would take 8 months to come in, now i am sure if I NEEDED it sooner they could get it, but for a price, so considering how long some gowns may take, i say start looking this summer, that would be perfect timing, have fun!Welcome New Vendors
