Brides marrying/married on a holiday...
What are you doing/did you do for hair and makeup? Did you have trouble booking vendors? Did you have them come to you, or did you go to a salon despite the holiday? Please tell me your stories! Thanks!

I am getting married the day before you!!! 7/3/06 and I haven't had any trouble getting hair and makeup at the salon. Since it is a monday, most of the salons said they would open for my party.Start calling and asking, most places won't have a problem.

Re: Brides marrying/married on a holiday...
I got married on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Where we live, EVERYTHING is closed on Sunday, so I had to have the hair and makeup people come to my hotel.I didn't have trouble finding people, but I did get some CRAZY qoutes- one chic wanted $250 for my hair and $150 for each bridesmaid...Someone else wanted $200 just for my makeup.
Finally, I remembered a Mac makeup artist who I used a long time ago. He did my makeup for $100 and I think maybe $75 for everyone else

I am getting married on 7/4/05 and I didn't have trouble with vendors. I would reccommend booking vendors early this way you will be set. My Hair stylist, who I have used for years, is coming to my house to do my hair. My makeup artist is coming to my house. So hopefully my early planning will work out.

I really wanted to use my own hairdresser, but since Im getting married on columbus day weekend, he told me he wouldnt be available. So I contacted Jenn and Oksana about the date and they didnt have any problems.
