Repost-need help for my dads surprise party!

Ok in two weeks we are throwing my dad a surprise birthday party-it is at a hall and they pretty much take care of everything except for centerpieces (my mother and i just realized we needed to do something today ) Does anyone have any simple (CHEAP!) ideas? Nothing crazy but something really cute/cool/fun would be great.

I'm counting on your creative ideas!

You can just use balloons....

My dad doesn't exactly have a hobby-we are having the party at a hall (it is a dj company that also has a hall they rent) It is at 5pm on Sun July 3rd-the hall is putting a ton ballons above the dance floor (up by the ceiling) so I was thinking something other than balloons for the tables-I look forward to hearing your suggestions!

I'm sure your dad's interested in boating, fishing, poker, golf, prof. sports, etc, you can either name a table IE surfcasting and so a centerpiece w/ a bucket filled w/ sand, the tabel name and perhaps a photo of your dad, etc, these will be cheap & easy to do yourself!
