Brides that took outdoor pics BEFORE the ceremony...

Did you have your gown bustled for the outdoor pics? If not, how did you prevent your train from gettting dirty or damaged? Do you think its worth the risk of it means the picture is more beautiful?

Re: Brides that took outdoor pics BEFORE the ceremony...

I'm getting married next monday and here's the plan... I am bringing a large white sheet with me. I'll walk on that and they can tuck it under around my dress.

My MOH is also a DOC so she said she'd take care of this

Re: Brides that took outdoor pics BEFORE the ceremony...

My gown was bustled for the outdoor pictures before the ceremony. It didn't have a long train to begin with.

I had planned to use an aisle runner, but on the day it just was too much of a bother.

My shoes and the bottom of the dress probably got dirtier than if I hadn't taken outdoor pictures. The dirt wasn't noticible to anyone but me and it doesn't appear in pictures.

Re: Brides that took outdoor pics BEFORE the ceremony...

I took pictures before hand and didn't have my gown bustled. Traditionally, you wouldn't bustle your dress until after your first dance so most brides don't have their dress bustled in formal pictures regardless of when the pictures are taken. I did get my dress dirty but the bridal attendant cleaned it up and no one was the wiser.

I didn't take many pictures outside but the ones I did... didn't mess up my dress and I had a long enough train.

Re: Brides that took outdoor pics BEFORE the ceremony...

I had my pictures with my girls taken outside before we went to the church. To be honest, I never even though about the dress getting dirty. I carried the train while I walked and the photographer laid it out for the pictures.

Mine didn't get dirty, but I think the sheet idea is a good one just in case.

Re: Brides that took outdoor pics BEFORE the ceremony...

We did! My dress was not bustled and did get dirty. But, I don't think anyone would have noticed. It was underneath. Here we are avoiding good sh!t at the Arboretum.

Re: Brides that took outdoor pics BEFORE the ceremony...

Thanks for posting this! I was wondering what to do myself, but hadn't gotten around to asking the question. A white sheet is a great idea, esp. if it rains beforehand.

We're taking beach pictures before the wedding...

Thanks for the white sheet idea as well.
