Question about name changing

I was wondering how long the process took to change your name and what needed to be done. Any help would be great...Thanks

Re: Question about name changing

I started with my license and Social Security, which took about 2 weeks then faxed copies of my marriage license to my credit card, alma mater, car insurance, and my student loan. My employer changed my name once I had my new Social Security card.

Did you do this all after your honeymoon? Or, did you start the paperwork before your wedding date?
