Everyone pays for their own, FH should be free thats the way most places do it.

Never heard that before!

Our best man paid for his own tux just like everyone else... he didn't even think twice about it... its expected.

OMG my FH and I argued about this too!

He says he wants to pay for them and I think its ridiculous!

He's insisting on paying for his BM/brother b/c of a $$ issue, which I can understand, but now I think all the groomsmen are going to wear their own (cheap) tuxes and all look different.

What's the big deal -- what does a rental cost? $50?? I asked my BMs to pay much more for their dresses and no one complained!

Well, judging by the poll results - I won!! I doubt, however, that he's going to change his mind. The guys are wearing kilts, which are comparable to tux prices (Kev doesn't get a free one though). This is going to be a fight, I can tell. I told him that if we pay for the Best Men's kilts, we should pay for my Maid's (sister) and Matron's dresses. He said no. I have never even heard of the groom paying. I think that is totally ridiculous!!! Besides, the best men and groomsmen have the easiest jobs in the entire wedding anyway!!!

Normally No unless he's going to do it as their gift or something. We're paying for one of our guys because he's doing a huge last minute favor for us but other then that they usually pay their own way. I've also seen it where instead of getting the grooms tux free the price of that tux was split amongst the guys to get them a discount.
