Calling all July brides

Where are you planning to go on your HM? We are going to Anguilla, but wanted to know opinions on if you think it is a problem to go to the caribbean in july. Is anyone else planning a July Caribbean HM?

I'm June... but we were debating between Cap Juluca and Tahiti/Bora Bora! We've decided to go with Tahiti since Cap Juluca would be about the same price!!! Also, the weather is great all yr long in Tahiti and actually june-aug is their dry season. It's more of a once in a lifetime trip for us. I think you should be fine in the caribbean in July! Good luck... cap juluca is gorgeous!!!

Thanks!!! Tahiti/Bora Bora sounds awesome too. The only reason we did not go was b/c of the flight, but otherwise it looks amazing. So instead we decided to go w/ Cap Juluca
For us it was perfect. it looks soooo unbelievable and different.

We're thinking Greece but I think the Caribbean should be fine...i totally recommend Aruba. It is amazing!

I posted in BHB, but I'll post again...any excuse to get my post # higher!!

As of right now, we are leaning toward either the Caribbean or Mexico for our HM. I wasn't even thinking that the Caribbean would be a problem in July...doesn't hurricane season start more in August?

Yup we debated about the flight (esp b/c I hate to fly! )! Cap Juluca will be our next vaca for sure. It looks unbelievable and I heard they bring you sorbet every afternoon!!!

We want to go to Italy - Venice and the Amalfi Coast.

My family is from the Caribbean (Trinidad) - it is hurricane season in July but are certain islands that don't get hit much (Trinidad happens to be one of them). I would say go for it!

We're doing a Mediterranean cruise & Ireland, but my brother goes to Mexico every July for his anniversary & they are always fine there. Maybe that is something to consider?

I know hurricanes can be rough on some of the islands of the Carribean, but I'm sure you guys will be fine!

Anguilla is an excellent choice for July...My FBIL went there on his honeymoon in August 03, and it was gorgeous (not too hot and no threat of hurricanes or tropical storms).

Anguilla is one of the places that is 'protected' from hurricanes by tradewinds...It's also really unlikely that a hurricane would hit Aruba.

One of my good friends just got back from her HM in Tahiti/Bora Bora...They stayed at two different resorts, but had over-water bungalows in both. The flight is really long, but if you stop in LA in between it breaks it up.

We are doing a Southern Caribbean cruise followed by 5 nights at a Resort in Puerto Rico.

Cap Juluca is an resort on the island of Anguilla in the Caribbean.

FH hates to fly so we're planning on taking a cruise out of NY. It might be hurricane season but we'll take the risk (and get vacation insurance of course!)

I'm with him! I absolutely hate flying, but it's our honeymoon so i'm sucking it up! 13 hours on a plane... tylenol PM should help!!! I just tell myself i have to do it to see the world...
