Does anyone have a list of good school districts in Suffolk?

DH and I are going to start looking for our home, but we want to move to an area with a good school district and decent taxes. I'm still kinda new to LI, so I'm not sure where to go and where to stay away from. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA.

Re: Does anyone have a list of good school districts in Suffolk?

Go to nysed.gov - that's the NYS Education Dept website. You can look up the school report card for individual school districts. One thing you can do is check their report cards. You will see all the testing results/statistics. It's important to look at the percentages of how many students passed, etc. Especially things like the 4th grade ELA exam - the younger grades are when the kids are getting their educational foundation and you definitely want a district with high percentages.
