Re: OOPS! save the date options (ignore the last one!)
I am sending magnets, a little introductory letter, and a sheet of hotel info, including rates, distance from hall, date by which they have to book, etc. For the letter, it was really short, just saying to 'save the date for the wedding of (our full names). Enclosed is hotel information. We hope you can share in this happy occasion' (I don't remember the exact wording). I thought it would also be cute to sign our names at the bottom. The top has a wedding cake graphic that I made myself (its in my avatar). I just thought it pulled everything together nicely, even if it is more work. We're not doing a newsletter though.

Re: OOPS! save the date options (ignore the last one!)
we just sent the magnet, and hotel info for those who don't live in the area. When we send invitations, we will send the hotel info to everyone invited.
I will include the 'things to do' stuff in the baskets I make for the OOT people.
I figure giving them all that stuff now is too far in advance.
I also am too lazy to write a letter, although I think its a very nice idea.
