Marriage License- do I need a birth cert.? UPDATE FYI!**

On the town of Brookhaven's site - it first said you need a drivers license, passport etc. OR a birth certificate. Then later it says you NEED the birth certificate. Lord only knows where mine is...

Anyone know?

For the town of Brookhaven - at least at the Town Hall in Farmingville - you ABSOLUTELY NEED your Birth Certificate!!!! Pain in the A** when we went today and didn't have them

i would call to confirm...

to get a passport, you need your birth certifate..so maybe if you dont have a passport, then you need the birth certificate.

we used BC and NYDL

we just used our driver's licenses but this was in Queens.

If you absolutley cant find your birth certificate, you can get a new one for $10 at your town hall. FH ha dto do this because he totally procrastinated in applying for his passport and then realized his BC was nowhere to be found.
