Mystic Tan - I know this is a repeat post...sorry
Has anyone done this? I was considering doing it, not just for the wedding, but maybe this summer just to have some color. I actually did go to the beach a few times, loaded with sunblock & do have nice color for me (I'm very fair). But I want to avoid going in the sun or tanning bed to maintain it. My concerns are if the mystic tan looks orange, does it go on even, especially by the fingertips & ankles. And how often does it need to be maintained? Of course the salon I called was raving about it, but just curious if anyone has experienced it. Thanks so much!!!

I would like to know about this too. The dermatologist requested that I wear SPF 30 all the time so now I am going to be pale for my wedding.

Believe it or not, I wear that when I'm in the sun & after 2 hours at the beach, I had color. So don't think sunblock means no color. I just want to avoid the sun too much because of skin cancer & wrinkles!!! That's why if I do go out, I load up on the sunblock. I keep hearing both positive & negative about the mystic tan.

I did it twice - I really like it, I like being tan for a change. It feels good.I've been told I looked orange around my hands especially. My feet never seem to come out right, and it will streak if you don't wipe it off right when you get out. It only lasts a week at best - and I've found that I let it go for more than a week and there are spots that aren't coming off - which is kind of freaky, b/c it looks like birth marks.
Give it a try - I want to see if these lingering parts come off, but I will probably do it again, and probably for the wedding - my shoulders and arms typically came out flawless, and that is what I was worried about for the wedding.
its only about $25
ETA - the only think that concerns me is that this is probably just as bad for you as the sun

I did it once. The color looks nice- I'm very pale- and lasts about a week. I just don't like the way my hands came out. It looked as though they were dirty-especially around the knuckles. I don't think I would do it for the wedding becuase the coloring does tend to rub off on white clothing.

ooo - I forgot to mention that I tried on my dress with it and mine didn't come off on the dress or the brand new white corset I had on.

I lifeguarded for years and would wear 45 every day and zinc on my face and I still got DARK brown, even to where it looked strange
Im assuming I got color because the sunblock was not enough? But I applied at least every hour.

If you look at eogara's review on Brides Review, she had the spray on tan applied by a salon in New York City... I plan on doing that for the big day!!! I have done the Mystic Tan and have found it to be OK. I have had some streaking on my arms / legs...I just feel like for my wedding I should go to a pro... Good luck!
