NWR...baby shower for a good friend

my best friends baby shower is coming up .and i want to get her something special..has anyone seen or done anything different for a friend or familie's baby shower? i need suggestions...i saw a diaper cake that i thought was cute but i want to get her something sentimental...thanks!!

You could get her a silver rattle from Tiffany and have something nice engraved on it for her.

You can start a scrap book for her....
With sonogram pictures and pictures of her pregnant.

I would have loved that!!!
If you wanted to spend more $$ you can also get her a 'useful' gift. I always like to do 1 useful and 1 thoughtful

I got my friend a gift certificate to a day spa that specialized in pregnancy massages. She loved it!

a cool idea i heard one time is a gift certificate to a photo studio... like The Picture Place or somewhere like that that specializes in kids pictures.... all moms take their babies for pro pictures at some point.... just thought it sounded like a neat idea, and she'll always have the pictures

I think the scrapbook is great. On the DIY network I saw they did a project where they made a wholke scrapbook template\, with places to put photos and journaling, and it covered the major things, birth, coming home for the first time, first haricut, first birthday, first steps, had a spot for footprints, stuff like that, and really made it easy for the mom to document all of the memories!

Also, maybe to go along with this, a gift certificate to a photo studio like sears or picture people would be great!

I totally agree. For something useful, I always try to stick with something that with keep the baby occupied (like a bouncer), or put them to sleep!

I love the idea about the scrapbook, especially if this is her first child. Tiffany rattle is always a classic too.

thanks girls..all these ideas are great!! the only thing is i have never made a scrapbook!!im so bad at that creative stuff..ill def have to make my fsil help me..she is awesome at that stuff...
