How did you ask your bridesmaids to be in the wedding?

How did you ask your bridesmaids to be in the wedding?

I was thinking of writing a letter and giving them a pic from when we were much younger?

Any suggestions would be helpful!!

I asked a few of them at my engagement party & the rest one-by-one. I'm prob going to do a bring thing when we go for the bridesmaids dresses.

did the will you be my bm cards- and we are doing a luncheon on saturday when we go for bm dresses

I think that is very sweet. I did a very non-eloquent 'I need me some bridesmaids!' for two of them. LOL!

I asked them all in person, but then gave out BM cards that I made at our eparty. Inside each read 'Stand By Me' and the reason I chose them to be in the BP. I have a huge BP, so I wanted to make sure they felt special.

I asked them in person as I saw them. Altho I asked my MOH over the phone on her bday since I wasn't gonna be able to see her. But I also have a BM poem that I'm going to send out so they have something nice to have.

I got a dress cookie cutter from ebay and made sugar cookies for each of them and put pretty pink sparkly sprinkles on top (michaels) b/c thats the color I want for their dresses. I gave them each about 6 of them wrapped in pretty celophane (sp??) and wrote a short card asking them to be my BM. The cookies were so cute!!! Everyone loved it.

I took all of my girls to my reception hall on a night that they offer brides getting married there an on the house dinner and gave them each a book called 'Bridesmaids' with a personalized message written to each of them inside their books!

I asked my flower girls by giving them each a book called 'When I Was a Flower Girl' with a message written in side for them too!

For my BM I went to Barnes and Noble, however I had to go to 2 stores to get enough for each girl. For my Flower Girls I ordered them online, because the bookstores didn't have them in stock and it would take them up to 10 business days to order them! I got them in 3 business days from amazon.com!

I also think they sell the books through LIW (I am sure I saw them on this site somewhere)

For my SIL and FSIL it was like..ok, I assume you know you're in this thing? For my Junior BM (my FH's cousin) I asked her mom first then asked her Sunday. I still have yet to do my FG and my MOH..

Gave them each a very nice card and then gave my maid of honor a piece of Irish china, she collects it.
I gave this to them at our e-party!
