My Cousin's Wedding Mini-Review (Pics too!)

So I went to my little cousin's wedding this past weekend.

It was held at Magnanini Winery & Resturant in Wallkill, NY (upstate near Newburgh)

The grounds were beautiful, small and intimate. The resturant has an old-english pub type feeling and decor. The wine ( I only had a few sips since I was driving was outstanding)

Here ceremony was outdoors @ 4pm, which was perfect because the sun was starting to go down and there was a nice breeze, so my worries about getting all hot and sweaty were fruitless but I left the camera in car so I have no pictures of the ceremony :(

She got her dress and accessories from David's Bridal and she said she was happy with the service and alterations.

Hair and Makeup:
My other cousin (MOH) couldn't remember the name of the hairstylist, but they all had up-do's and looked amazing. Makeup was Mary Kay and they were given lots of samples so they didn't have to buy anything.

For her cocktail hour, she had a wine and cheese tasting, it was different and the selection was wonderful. Her parents made the wine selections, they had four reds and three whites to choose from and the cheese and bread display was simple but tasty.

The food was outstanding!
We started with an anti-pasti dish of meats and some veggies, I gave most to my dad (my date for the evening) since I was trying to conserve space for our actual dinner.
Then they served Italian Wedding Soup, very simple and tasty. Then came a mixed green salad, followed by a linguine in vodka sauce that was my FAVORITE!!! The main course was chicken or pork tenderloin in champange sauce with roasted red potatoes and grilled zuccihinni's it was to die for! Our family was raving about the food, 1/2 italian 1/2 puerto rican so you know how we like our food! lol

They brought their own cake from a bakery in Kingston, near where they live, they had a multi-tier cake, each tier was something different, I had two bites of my piece which turned out to be strawberry and cream it was really good, they had a chocolate cake in there and carrot cake too but I didn't get to try those since it was luck of the draw to see which tier you ended up getting your slice from.

She is in the air-force, when you see her she is sooo tiny I don't know how she does it but she is a little spit-fire so I shouldn't be surprised at all. Being military they had an honor guard and set a table for those MIA or died in the line of fire, it was touching to hear the symbolizim of the place settings. She didn't really go over the top in personal touches but every thing was simple and classy, she choose yellow as her color.

Well I guess that's it, if your looking for an out of the way place to visit upstate I'd look these guys up, their food and service was amazing.
