I danced with my mother. My father passed away 20 years ago. It is becoming known a lot more. I danced to In my Daughters Eyes by Martina McBride.

I think it's a really nice thing to do.... I always think about things this way-- if you really feel in your heart, that you want things to be done a certain way, then don't think about what's 'tradition' or what people are used to seeing-- just do what makes you happy.

Re: Mom/Daughter Dance?????????????????????///
im not dancing with my mom because she would hate it..even though she is my best friend..she hates center of attention..so im going to surprise her with a little speech about her and maybe a boquet..and she cant do anything about it..if your mom would dance with you then go for it..it would be so nice to catch it on camera and video!! it would make for such a nice picture

I danced with my mom to Wind Beneath my Wings and it was a surprise to her. She loved it! So did everyone else, they thought it was so sweet and special. I think its a great idea and something you and her can share and will have to remember from that night. I will admit it's pretty hard not to cry though.

My Dad passed away 5 years ago, and I'm dancing with my Mom too. My friend danced with her Mom at her wedding and it was so touching. There's such a special bond between a Mother and Daughter and it's a little bit different when they dance... it's really beautiful. go for it!

Re: Mom/Daughter Dance?????????????????????///
My dad did not come to my wedding (long story over his own selfishness) so I had a dance with my mom. When I was a little girl, she always used to sing the song 'You are So Beautiful' by Joe Cocker to me, so we used this song. It was one of the most special moments of my life.

My Father is not in my life. My Mother has alwasy been my Mom and Dad. She is walking me down the isle and we ar dancing together. I wouldn't have it any other way. I am back and forth on different songs. But I think I am going to end up with Celine Dion's 'Because you loved me'There won't be a dry eye on the dance floor. I know I am going to lose it!!!

I think it will be beautiful! I've seen it done before. One wedding I went to the mother cut in on the father/daughter dance and than at the end of the song the three of them were dancing together. I thought that was sweet too.Welcome New Vendors
