Re: has anyone planned or booked things in six months or less?

I have less than six months to go and I still have to book limos, hair and a florist and do so many other little things - but I am also having a January wedding so I don't have to 'fight' for vendors...
I think that it definitely can be done though.

I have a friend who did it in less than 6 months - but she got married in March, not over the summer.

Re: has anyone planned or booked things in six months or less?

my co worker planned and booked hers in about 4 months, she got engaged in April and the wedding is in September.
my SIL did hers in about 5 months as well.

You can get some great deals with vendors because they just really want the business. BUt you have to be flexible with dates, times, etc.

Re: has anyone planned or booked things in six months or less?

For an August wedding, I'd be weary. I mean you'll find that SOME vendors ahve the date open, but it may not be your 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice. It's not like you wont fnd anyt photo or limos at all, but you may have to deal w/ 'the bottom of the barrel'

Hey
I got engaged in January but did not book my vendors till
March and I'm getting married in October. It can be done.
Every vendor I called was free for my date.
Good luck!

Re: has anyone planned or booked things in six months or less?

I planned my entire wedding in about 5 months. It was a small wedding (75 guests), but we had no problems getting anything done and I'm sure you could even do a bigger wedding in the same amount of time.

Re: has anyone planned or booked things in six months or less?

I did it all in just over 6 months. The ahrdest was the dress, b/c I got a maggie sotero & it takes six months to come in, so that was very tight. Everything else was OK. :)

Re: has anyone planned or booked things in six months or less?

I started booking in October for my May wedding - so yes, it can totally be done.

I did:

Hall - Oct
Photo - Nov
Video - Nov
DJ - Nov
Limos - Dec (late too!)
Hair & MU - MAY!

You can do it...do you want to push up the date? Do it girl!
