westbury manor--what hotel???

hey WM ladies,

we're trying to book rooms for our wedding. we'll look at the holiday inn in westbury, but have any of you found any other reasonable hotels in the immediate area?

i know they recommend fox hollow, but that's too far and probably too expensive.

thanks!

Re: westbury manor--what hotel???

We checked out a few...

Red Roof Inn
Holiday Inn
Wingate Inn
Hilton Garden Inn

Red Roof - Nice. Very helpful. Not what we were looking for. Great prices.

Holiday Inn...over priced for what you get.

Wingate Inn - liked, but booked solid the weekend of our wedding.

Hilton Garden Inn - LOVE THEM!!!

Did the Hilton Garden Inn get a liqor license?? We looked into them and loved them but at the time they didn't have a license and they weren't sure when they would.

Re: westbury manor--what hotel???

If you mention that you are getting married at a Scotto Brothers location, they definitely give you a discount for Fox Hollow Inn. I paid 200 or 210 for the Bridal Suite. Definitely ask them - it's a beautiful place and so close to the Westbury Manor.
For the guests, Holiday Inn next to Chateau Briand is really close too.

Re: westbury manor--what hotel???

The Wingate gave us a rate of about $130 per night for November. I told my guests about the Red Roof and about 5 or 6 couples chose to stay there, since it was cheaper.

I was there last week and the hotel manager said they were in the process of getting it. Hopeful they will get it soon.

Are you staying there for your wedding night? If so what room did you get?

Hey date twin! I called the Garden City Hotel about a month ago, they are undergoing renovations during the time of our wedding, so we couldn't get a room I really wanted to stay there.

Re: westbury manor--what hotel???

What Type of Room are you looking for? I just blocked 10 rooms for that date a few days ago. My guests only need rooms for that friday - monday. I was told that they stop renovations on Friday and Continue on Monday. My concern was the noise factor of the renovations, but I was assured after friday and before monday there wont be any interference.

Re: westbury manor--what hotel???

I asked for the Honeymoon suite, she just said it was unavailable due to renovations.

We ended up booking a block of rooms at the Marriott Uniondale. FH and I are staying at the Fox Hollow the night of.
