Bridesmaid Dresses Question-UPDATE

One of my BM's mentioned to me last night that her check has not been cashed yet by the bridal store. We orded the dresses back in May. Should I call this woman or is this the norm that they wait till the dresses are in then cash the check.


UPDATE-Just called my bridal place and first the woman told me she was waiting on gina (MOH) to get her measurements cause they didn't want to order separately cause the colors may not be the same. that would be fine if........... THEY WERE WEARING THE SAME COLOR!!! the lady had written down that my moh is in mint and the rest of the girls are in celadon so there is no excuse and to boot because she thought this, she never ordered the dresses yet. So, now she's looking for her check and its not in my file. so where is it i ask. she's gonna 'look into it' and if its not cashed within a few more dayz to have my girlfriend call her to arrange to write another check.

They may have not cashed the check because everyone in the bridal party might not have placed there order. Salons only order the dresses once everyone in the BP got measured & ordered their dresses.

wow, funny u mention that. my MOH hasn't been measured yet because she's in the process of losing her baby fat so she was gonna get measured in september when my gown came in she was gonna go with me. she's wearing the same gown, but different color. does that still matter

this is very irresponsible. YOu still have time to switch bridal salons. I suggest that you do this b/c this spells problems for later.

My BP are all wearing different dresses in the same color by the same manufacturer. We were told to have everyone measured and all deposits collected within two weeks of each other because it would be too hard to get everyone in on the same day. After the LAST person is measured, then the order would go in so there would be no room for error in terms of dyelot. I have had this happen when I was a bridesmaid 18 years ago in my brother's first wedding. The dyelots were off from dress to dress and one had to be reordered on a rush job.

In the case of the original poster, however, I would stay on their tails. Sounds like there could be problems ahead
