5 weeks left and 50 RSVP's not returned!

We sent these out on 6/15. Shouldn't we have these back already. I put the return date by 8/1.

Is this normal??

Arrggh, I would be very pissed. Mine was July 10th and just yesterday one of my co-workers HANDED it to me. Bleh! What can ya do?!?! Some people wont even return it AT ALL. I would say its 'normal' for people not to return on time. You have a few days left. Good luck!

I'm getting married the weekend after you and our RSVP date is 8/4- I'm still waiting on 59 people (mostly couples, so about 30 RSVPs). Frustrating...I know, but there is nothing you can do until the actual RSVP date comes. I'm having people (depending on whose list they are on) start calling immediately after the date...not paying for people who won't be there.

saddly, it's normal.

when I had 1 WEEK to go, I was still waiting on 50 RSVPS (some were singles, most were couples, but about 85 people were not accounted for)

We had a major influx of them on the day before deadline, THE deadline, and even more right after the deadline.

Oh, the pain of calling people. I also had several guests not RSVP up to the week before. I had MIL call all her friends (the majority of the list) and find out if they were coming. They thought they didn'y have to respond but just show up ..... hello, there was a card and envelope already stamped for you with the invite... can it get any easier!

thats actually not too bad considering you still have over a week left. I know its frustrating, but most people are 'last minute' when it comes to RSVPs. We had about 60 left that we received within the week that followed the RSVP date (i.e most people see the rsvp date that they had forgotten about, and they mail it out on that date.) honestly, if you can wait until a week After theyre due, you'll save yourself Alot of phone calls.

I actually did 2 rsvp dates. For my FIL's side i did 7/29 and for our friends and my parents side i did 8/12/. Can you believe i have gotten back about 85 responds and they are mostly my parents side and friends. i was thinking of sending out a postcard reminder this week. I hate waiting!!!!

I'm dreading this (my invites just went out this week) and I know for a fact that people are just going to decide on their own that its not necessary to return the response card! GRRRR...makes me angry!

im so happy i have time. my rsvp by date is sept 2 and i need 12 or so. small wedding about 65 people. and fh knows not all of his side is going to send them back so he said he is going to call. thats what i would do. finish out that weekened and see if you get anymore, then i would call.

our rsvp date is 7/28 and we are still missing 49 rsvps- that is over 100 people not accounted for yet! and i thought that by sending out our invites early we could avoid this!

Yes, that's entirely normal. Shouls shouldn't expect them back untiul a week after your RSVP date, and even then you may have a few maybes.

This is normal. My RSVP date is 8/4 I've only heard from 121 out of 240. Some of the people I am waiting to hear from I see every day. People sometime wait because they really aren't sure ... my FI boss old who he has worked with for 4.5 years doesn't know. She is coming back from a trip the day before.


I plan on making calls around 8/10.

I sent out 317 invites on 7/1. My RSVP is 8/1. I only got about half back. Still waiting on a lot more. Don't stress, unfortunatley a lot of people are procrastinators and wait for last minute.
