Having health issues - long vent

I haven't posted about this, but I was really sick between February and May of this year. My doctor told me that my constant illness, fatigue, hives, body aches were all due to stress - I've been doing a bit better recently though I'm not 100%.

Then this month I found out that a biopsy showed that I have a precancerous **** on my arm and I must have it removed. Of course, I'm having trouble finding a doctor who takes my insurance in order to have that and another suspicious **** removed.

Now I'm going to the doctor this week because no matter what I've eaten in the last few months, I'm almost always in pain. I can't get a break; I just want to be happy and plan my wedding but my body seems to be falling apart. I'm afraid to have an edoscopy done. I'm just scared in general.

I know that I could be experiencing something worse and that I'm very lucky because I have the ability to take care of it; I just feel like I'm being robbed of a time that should be full of joy because it's filled with worry.

Trust me, I can sympathize. I'm going through a lot of health problems now that I can't take care of until November because of my insurance.

Your best bet is to get a full workup as scary as it is. Planning a wedding is hard enough without the added stress!!

Where is the pain exactly? Try looking up your symptoms on Web MD. Or have you ever been tested for Lupus? I've heard of those symptoms being associated with that.

I'm hoping you feel better and that all is well enough that you get taken care of before the wedding!!

I am so sorry that you are going through such stress and pain right now. The group of LIW brides is a very supportive one. Any time you need to vent, feel free. I hope you feel better soon.

I am so sorry that you are in pain and not feeling well. It must be so horrible for you! The best thing that I can tell you is have it all taken care of now so that you are not dealing with something much worse later on. Can you call your insurance company and ask for the names of participating doctors? I hope it all goes well

I've looked up my symptoms on webmd - it's just so frustrating because so many different things are going on at once. I'll look into lupus - thanks Miss Janna.

And my doctor is working with me this week to find other md's who take my insurance.

I am sorry you are going through this. A friend of mine had similar symptoms and she went from doctor to doctor who never really pinpointed anything. One did think it was lupus, it turns out she had lyme's disease. She got antibiotics and felt better really quickly.

I've had my share of health issues and I have to say our fellow LIWer's are a great bunch, I will say a prayer for you that everything goes well and if you ever need to bend an ear never fear we will be here for you!

you should be able to contact you insurance carrier directly to find a participating provider. there has to be a dermatologist in your network (assuming you don't have out of network benefits) that can do your biopsy.

customer care is not always the best at these companies, but you may also be able to search for a doc online as well, if your ins. company has a website.

as frightening as it may be, it is far better to have a COMPLETE workup done- bloods and everything, the sooner you get to the bottom of your ailments- the faster treatment can begin.

So sorry you are in pain. I live with chronic illness so I can relate. Once you are under the care of competent MDs you will get relief. Take care of yourself..your health is your number one priority.

Just hang in there even when you think you can't, it will all work out!
I would definitely be on top of your insurance company. Get what you have to get done now.
