When you went looking for BM Dresses...

When you went looking for BM Dresses...
did you bring all the girls with you? some of the girls with you? none of the girls?I have my heart set on a dress, that all the girls love (3:5 have tried on) but MOH still wants to look. I was hoping to find something tonight, but I didn't know whether it was 'faux pas' per se to just go with her, or should I have another BM with me?

Christine, I am planning on going a couple of times with different groups of the girls. I will not go a million times! I already have a dress picked out, if it looks good on everyone then that will be the winner. I can't get stressed over everyone's opinion & schedule conflicts.

I've only gone once. I brought my MOH and she fell in love with one that was one of my hopefuls. I've shown it to my BMs and they all love it.So to answer your question, it's perfectly ok to go with just your MOH, she's earned that privilege.

No, I looked first and picked the ones I thought would be nice.
Then I went with MOHs (my sisters) and they liked my choices. Then I made an appointment with all the girls and told them that this is the dress and the color and all they needed to do is to get measured.

I went two time with MOH (she is the pickiest) - once before the other BMs and once after. I went once with three of my BM (my final BM is out of state and will hopefully be visiting soon so we can go too).I didn't want to bring MOH with other BMs because I was afraid she would be too negative - but in the end it all worked out

I have gone a couple of times with my MOH..I have 6 girls and to coordinate their schedules would be crazy. Also in my BP, my MOH is the only one who can try stuff on that looks the way its supposed to! Some other girls have even said, if you need to go a lot of times...its better to go yourself. (I'm not quite up to tht point)

I went with 2 of 7 girls.. Getting everyone together was impossible. I had more of a price range that I needed to stay in rather than a particular dress..

I only have two girls and the BM lives upstate so I just brought the MOH with me. I was ready to go on my own but like the person above said...the MOH has earned that so I'm glad we went together.

So to answer your question, it's perfectly ok to go with just your MOH, she's earned that privilege.
Cindy is this the Jordan #714 dress they tried on/ Just wondering b/c it was so flattering on all of my girls.
I basically saw a dress with my sis, had her try it on and then one by one had the other girls try it on at a later date. if they didnt like it, they did not tell me. most said they liked it! But I guess this was b/c it looked so nice on all of them!

Me, my Mom, and MOH went to look and found the one. All the girls loved a pic of it, then most tried it on and ordered it. With 8 BM's, I figured it was easiest to leave the decision up to me and my MOH.

My sister only brought my mother and I (I'm the MOH)....none of the girls complained about not having input. And 3 out of 5 liking it is a good ratio!!!! If you really like it, I'd just choose it.

When I was a BM, the brides had all of us go...the intentions were great but it was more difficult w/ so many opinions! As a BM, I was always willing to wear whatever the bride wanted so I didn't think all of us should go b/c it complicates things

I plan on just picking a color and a designer (so the color matches) and telling the girls to pic out their own style, ofcourse i plan on picking a designer that has a wide variety of designs they can pick from... then have them order from the same shop at the same time so the color is not off cause of a different cut (unless one is satin and another is chiffon, then i expect a slight color difference) i might have 2 pregnant bridesmaids so i may not even worry about color differences from a different cut... just so long as it is the same designer and color... that should be close enough?!?!

i went with all my girls, i narrowed my list to 4 and showed the girls and then we went to try them on, we as a group narrowed it to 2 which they all liked and then i chose the final dress

I went by myself and chosse three dresses i liked. then I went with my FSIL who just had two babies and was feeling nervous to have to wear a dress when she may not have all the baby weight off. She and one of my close friends (who is a BM too) are on the chubby side, so i figured if the dress looked good on her and me (i'm like a size 2-4), then it would be perfect for everyone in my party (the other three girls incluidng my MOH are skinny). Well it worked great, we found a beautiful dress and I am now bringing the other girls just to make sure everyone likes it (so far my MOH and one of my other BM tried it on and LOVED it too). The other two girls i will be bringing in the next two weeks.If we would have went all together i truly believe it would have been so chaotic and no one would have agreed on a dress.

I went once with just my mother, then again with all of my girls (only 4) and both moms. I narrowed it down to two, and then brought just my FH back to help with the final choice.
